Arnold Palmer Invitational 2023: Prize purse, payout info

The 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill will be played over 2-5 March. 

It is the fourth PGA Tour elevated event of 2023. That means that it carries a total prize purse of $20m with the winner taking home $3.6m.

These mega-money tournaments were introduced as a powerplay to combat the LIV Golf League. 

The war of attrition and litigation continues and shows absolutely no sign of abating. 

Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion here. Scheffler was in the middle of an epic run when he pipped Tyrrell Hatton by one stroke last year. 

The reigning Masters champion is not the favourite. Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy are favoured slightly by the bookmakers.
