The European indoor swing continues as we return to the south of France. The Open 13 Provence tournament is a regular fixture on the calendar at this time of year, and as usual, boasts its fair share of French winners over the years.

No-one in the draw for this event has ever won it before so we are assured of a new Marseille champion regardless of the result. The last two winners, Andrey Rublev and Daniil Medvedev, are both playing in Qatar this week.

The calibre of those winners though gives us a clue to the type of player you need to be to triumph here. If you aren’t French then you generally need to be in the upper echelons of the sport to win.

ATP Marseille Betting Tips

The problem here, which is one that afflicts most of the tournaments this week, is that there is an outstanding candidate for the win. Here it is Jannik Sinner, the Italian #2 seed has already won in Montpellier, then reached the Rotterdam final. Again, it is difficult to know whether he will now be tired or whether he is simply in too good form for that to matter.

Grigor Dimitrov 0.5pt EW @ 7/1 (BetVictor)

In the top half Dimitrov probably has the best form. The Bulgarian is a big underachiever in his career but there can be no doubt that he has the game to get to the final from this draw. Dimitrov made it to the Rotterdam semifinals after a couple of good wins in Australia, far better form than anyone else in his half of the draw

Filip Krajinovic 0.25pt EW @ 35/1 (BetVictor)

This one is a bit more of a flier and is relying on old form being found. Krajinovic is a well-known European indoor specialist, though his best form is a couple of years old now. However, the price is there for this to be a a value bet and he is on the opposite side of the draw to Jannik Sinner.

The Main Draw

Marseille is a 28-man draw with 8 seeded players. The top four seeds all receive a bye to the second round. The qualifiers will be finalised on Monday.
