There’s three ATP Tour tennis events this week, including the clay court event in Buenos Aires and the ABN AMRO Open, also known as ATP Rotterdam. Following the Dallas Open, won last week by Tommy Paul, there’s also another event in the United States this week: the Delray Beach Open.
Delray Beach Open Picks
- Final Pick: Fritz def. Evans (+225).
An ATP 250 hard courts tournament with 28 players, the event is headlined by Americans Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, and Paul. Other top-50 players in the draw include Adrian Mannarino, Miomir Kecmanovic, and Dan Evans. Let’s take a closer look at the Delray Beach Open betting preview.

Delray Beach History
The Delray Beach Open was first held in 1993 and has since been won by players like Lleyton Hewitt, Kei Nishikori, Mardy Fish, Marin Cilic, Hubert Hurkacz, and Cameron Norrie. Fritz is the defending champion, having beaten Kecmanovic in last year’s final. An American has won the event in five of the last eight years. Tiafoe, who has the second-shortest tennis odds in the Delray Beach Open betting preview, won the tournament in 2018.
Top 3 Favorites
Taylor Fritz +225
Fritz won last year’s Delray Beach Open and has had decent tennis stats since then. The world No. 9 is 6-2 this season and coming off of a quarter-final appearance at the Australian Open, where he lost to Novak Djokovic. He is a six-time winner on the ATP Tour and, as the top seed in the Delray Beach Open betting preview, receives a bye into the second round. He’ll play the winner of Nuno Borges and Dominik Koepfer.
Frances Tiafoe +550
Tiafoe hasn’t exactly had a great start to the 2024 season and has been inconsistent at best during the last year or two. The three-time ATP Tour winner should take comfort in returning to Delray Beach, where he is a past champion. He is coming off of a disappointing quarter-final loss to Marcus Giron at the Dallas Open, losing in straight sets and winning just five games. Tiafoe lost in the second round to Tomas Machac at the 2024 Australian Open.
Tommy Paul +550
Paul is coming off of his second career ATP title at the Dallas Open, beating Giron 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-3. He also beat Ben Shelton, Koepfer, and Taro Daniel. Paul is 7-2 this season and has moved up to No. 14 in the world rankings, two spots below his career high, achieved in October of last season. He lost to Kecmanovic in the Round of 32 at the Australian Open.
The Delray Beach Open begins with a few intriguing first-round matches on Monday, including Yoshihito Nishioka vs sixth seed Matteo Arnaldi and Koepfer vs. Borges, where the winner moves on to face Fritz in the second round. Tuesday’s Round of 32 action features matchups such as James Duckworth vs. Daniel, Dan Evans vs. Jordan Thompson, and Dallas Open finalist Giron vs. wildcard entry Emilio Nava.
Delray Beach Open Outright Pick
Fritz, as the defending champion with the shortest tennis odds to win, should have a relatively easy path to winning his half of the bracket and reaching the final, although there are some quality veterans in that half, including Mannarino and Kecmanovic. Fritz has the benefit of being well rested considering he hasn’t played since the Australian Open.
His likely final contenders in the bottom half of the bracket, including Paul and Tiafoe, have played a lot of tennis during the last couple of weeks and might have a little more wear and tear on their bodies than Fritz. It’s easy to see someone like Evans or eighth seed Max Purcell making a run in the bottom half of the draw and being a surprise finalist in the Delray Beach Open predictions.
- Final Pick: Fritz def. Evans (+225).
