Not so long ago, the Tennessee Titans were considered a legit contender out of the AFC South.

Even despite Ryan Tannehill’s obvious limitations and constant shortcomings, the team seemed to scrape their way into a win, with the defense and the running game stepping up more often than not.

But Mike Vrabel’s team might not be on the ‘contenders’ tier anymore going forward, at least for the time being.

According to NFL insider Mike Silver, the team is reportedly fielding calls for superstar running back Derrick Henry, arguably the best at his position.

Needless to say, it didn’t take long before Twitter exploded with reactions to this news, with fans calling the team out for moving on from their superstar player.

This debacle started last season when they traded A.J. Brown after failing to strike a deal with him, and there were some rumors about them potentially moving on from Ryan Tannehill as well.

Henry was a bit bloomer, but he became one of the most disruptive offensive forces in the league once he finally broke out, torching rivals out of the backfield with his unprecedented combination of size, strength, and speed.

Of course, multiple teams would be more than thrilled to get King Henry out of their hands, but it’s unlikely that they get decent value in return for an aging RB who’s missed some time with injuries as of late.

Still, it seems like the Titans are heading towards a rebuild, so it’ll be interesting to see how things go down at the Music City.
