Your Role: In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative enzymes used in the manufacturing process of protein- and nucleic acid-based therapeutic modalities, e.g. mRNA. You will be responsible to develop and implement enzyme assays and application tests that allow for the selection of appropriate enzyme candidates to be commercialized for GMP manufacturing of nucleic acids. You will independently apply advanced analytical methods to assess product properties and interpret results to allow for qualified decision making and project progress. You are highly collaborative with excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary, diverse team environment.

Who you are:

• Master’s in molecular biology, genetics or similar disciplines
• Experience in the development of enzymatic activity assays and enzyme applications
• Experience in mRNA synthesis and/or high throughput methods
• Working familiarity with preparative and analytical purification methods is preferred
• Self-motivated, driven, curious, and able to work without close supervision from senior scientific staff
• Detail oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent communication skills in English and German
