What channel is Kansas vs. Texas on today? Time, TV schedule for college basketball game

On senior day in Austin, the No. 9 Texas Longhorns will play host to the No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks. It’s a game that once had a lot of intrigue coming into the week, with both teams vying for the coveted Big 12 regular-season championship.

Thanks to consecutive losses by Texas, the conference in no longer in doubt. The Longhorns’ defeat to No. 22 TCU on Wednesday officially put Texas two games behind Kansas with only one to play.

Texas, 11-6 in conference play and 22-8 overall, have lost four of their last seven. They’ve complicated matters by seemingly playing with a lack of urgency, evidenced by a poor first half in a must-win game against TCU. If there is a positive for Longhorns fans right now, the team has been dominant at home, posting a 16-1 record on their home floor.

On the other side is the defending national champion Jayhawks. They are winners of seven straight and close out the regular season with a game that means nothing to them in terms of Big 12 tournament seeding. Head coach Bill Self could decide to take his foot off the gas and prepare for next week’s conference tournament with a top seed in the NCAA Tournament likely locked up.

With sole possession of the Big 12 crown, Kansas has now won at least a share of the title in three of the last four seasons. The Jayhawks have captured the Big 12 regular-season championship 21 times — adding to their NCAA record 64 all-time conference titles.
